Frequently Asked Questions
Why is it called "Lights (back) On"?"Lights On" because some of the tips and techniques will turn a light on in your head as you realise the impact they have. The "(back)" bit comes because most people who have gone through their education and embarked on a career will have already met and forgotten some of them. That's how life is. But now they may be more relevant to you.
What’s the catch?
There isn’t one.
We don’t know who you are as all you ever provide us with is a valid email address and a name by which you want to be addressed. We’ll send you the newsletter regularly and you act on anything you find in there at your own pace. You can also unregister out whenever you want to.
How much does it cost?
Nothing.
You will of course be offered different products from around the world at different times that may help to accelerate your development, but there is no obligation at any time to buy any of them.
Will I improve just by reading the newsletter and the site?
We can just about guarantee it. Even if you only read it once or twice and let your mind ponder even one of the things in there, it will set your mind off on at least one new course. And you don’t even have to agree with the content either – just understand the thinking behind it.
Who is BHReviews aimed at?
At individuals who are interested in taking responsibility for improving their lives and not leave it up to others. If you’re one of life’s passengers, by all means come along for the ride and the fun, but don’t expect radical improvement.
When the idea of BHReviews was first mooted, we considered aiming it directly at young professionals, but it soon became clear that it applied to anybody.
What areas does BHReviews cover?
It's aimed particularly at the three skills of thinking, communication and adapting to change, but also extends out to cover anything that encourages the development of Personal and professional skills.
And as that can easily get a bit heavy we include some lighter chunks like jokes, free stuff and money-making suggestions.
Why “Opening minds, changing lives”?
As the saying goes, Change is the only constant in the current world.
We also know that the vast majority of people are initially averse to change, but will generally do so once things have been put in a way that they accept.
That comes down to mindset.
If you can apply an open mind to any problem, it is much easier to understand and hence resolve. A closed mind tends to assess situations based only on personal experience and current style of thinking. An open mind is freed to identify more opportunity to make things better. The more open the mind, the greater the possibilities. All mixed in with a healthy dose of realism, though.
So what do you get out of it?
That’s a good question. The master plan when we started out was of course all about fame, fortune and glory.
In practice, we get these four things:
Money, as explained in the free report you can find within the site. (You too could benefit from it - it's worth the hunt!)
Market differentiation. Our continual and committed research deepens the knowledge within the Change consultancy arm of our business and provides us with a key market differentiator.
As individuals improve their ability to think and to change, it makes the projects we are involved in run more easily and so more likely to succeed. So our interaction with others get even more pleasant.
The pleasure of making a difference to some people's lives.
Do you make much money out of this?
That’s commercially sensitive information, so we won’t tell you. We will say, though, that it’s a new project that had been on the 'to do' list for over six years, so the investment is not only considerable but has also been well considered!
If you’re about personal development, why have a “Making Money on the internet” section?
[NB Early users of the site will note that it isn't there yet. It's one of the planned development areas]
There are two reasons for this
The first is to generate a small stream of revenues from any products that we promote there
The second is that we see it as a key alternative for personal and professional development in the 21st Century. Opportunities aren't limited to working for an employer.
Those products we endorse explain how to benefit from it in fine detail.
What guarantees do you give?
On all of our own products, there is always a 100%, no quibble, money back guarantee that is valid for 12 months.
We do not offer any guarantee for any products bought from third party sites that we do not have affiliate links with. Typically, these will be sites linked to via Guest reports or through Google ads.
Any third party sites that we promote will all have a substantial (often 12 month) guarantee of their own. And if they don’t, we’ll provide that guarantee as long as the product was bought by linking through us.
Are you personal development gurus?
Most definitely not. But we do appreciate the importance of specialist knowledge, so many of the links you see on the site will go to specialists.
While we recognise that this may result in our losing some potential business, we feel that you’ll come back to us if our site is good enough.
